  3. The utilities in this folder are shareware applications from Aladdin Systems, Inc.

  5. They will let you compress one or more stacks, associated files, and even the folders into individual "packages" that are, on average, half the size of the original files.  Of course, the compressed file must then be "uncompressed" before using.

  7. In addition, StuffIt can uncompress a number of different formats, which can be useful when downloading data from online services and Internet.
